THE CHALLENGE Update GrubHub’s existing website to be responsive, maintaining the playful elements from the legacy brand, while updating it with a more modern aesthetic.

THE SOLUTION
I designed a more modular version of the site, incorporating brand personality through angles, illustrations & playful talking food. As an evolution of the brand, I stripped away textures and used bold photography as the standout visual element against large swaths of colors from the original GrubHub palette.

BEHIND THE SCENES This project was a very quick sprint from start-to-finish. I designed the updated home page, and along with a special in-house agency team dedicated to user experience, collaborated on UI/UX decisions, participated in UX research, and updated the entire site experience, from menu-browsing to placing an order. We worked hand-in-hand with developers as this new iteration of the site was brought to life, launching in 2015.
